Dear Students,Our Vidyalaya is celebrating the 140th birthday of the “Emperor” of Modern Hindi Literature“श्री मुंशी प्रेमचंद” and 40th birthday of one of the famous character of English Literature “Harry Potter” on 31st July.
(31st July 1880 - 8 October 1936)
मुंशी प्रेमचंद, जो हिंदुस्तानी साहित्य के दिग्गज (उपन्यास सम्राट) और भारतीय लेखक (उपन्यासकार, कहानीकार और नाटककार) थे, का जन्म 31 जुलाई 1880 को वाराणसी के पास लमही गाँव में हुआ था। वे 20वीं सदी की शुरुआत के मशहूर लेखक थे। अपनी बेहतरीन रचनाओं से लोगों की सेवा करते हुए 8 अक्टूबर 1936 को उनका निधन हो गया। उनका असली नाम धनपत राय श्रीवास्तव था और कलम का नाम नवाब राय था। उन्होंने अपनी सभी रचनाएँ इसी नाम से लिखीं। बाद में उनका नाम मुंशी प्रेमचंद हो गया। 'मुंशी' नाम उन्हें समाज में उनके चाहने वालों ने उनकी बेहतरीन और असरदार रचनाओं के कारण सम्मान के तौर पर दिया था। एक हिंदी लेखक के तौर पर उन्होंने लगभग एक दर्जन उपन्यास, 250 लघु कथाएँ और कई निबंध व अनुवाद लिखे (उन्होंने कई विदेशी साहित्यिक कृतियों का हिंदी में अनुवाद किया)।

HARRY POTTER
Harry James Potter was born on 31 July 1980, to James and Lily Potter (née Evans), two members of the original Order of the Phoenixat the height of the First Wizarding War, only hours after his classmate-to-be Neville Longbottom.[64]Lily and James went into hiding in late 1979when they discovered she was pregnant.[65]When Harry was born, Lily held a christening; it was quiet and quick, with only James, Lily, Harry, and Sirius Black in attendance.[66]Harry spent his infancy in hiding with his parents in the Potter Cottage at Godric’s Hollow in the West Country, England.
For Harry’s first birthday, Sirius bought him a toy broomstick. In Lily’s letter to Sirius, it mentioned that this broomstick had been Harry’s favorite present and that he had smashed a horrible vase that had been a gift from Petunia. In the letter, Lily also included a picture of Harry flying around on the broom and James chasing after him. Lily also stated in the letter that Harry looked pleased with himself while flying around on the toy broom. Lily and James also hosted a very quiet birthday tea. The only ones in attendance were them, Harry, and Bathilda Bagshot. Bathilda also used to dote on infant Harry. The Potters owned a cat, but it is unknown what happened to it after Voldemort’s attack.
